Data Product Owner

• We’re recruiting for a Senior Data Product Manager to join our Data Capability (data platforms, engineering, delivery and governance) and play a key role in shaping, prioritising and continuously improving enterprise data products built on our Azure Databricks Platform. You’ll make sure our data products are reliable, discoverable, and valuable for the teams who use them, enabling trusted analytics, AI and business decision making across British Heart Foundation. Working closely with Heads of Product and Product Leads, you’ll help to shape product strategy within your product area, translating strategic objectives into a prioritised product roadmap and overseeing the delivery and measurement of product outcomes. This includes setting the strategic direction for new features, enhancements and capabilities. A key part of the role will be working with data owners, stewards and technical teams to embed good data governance into data product delivery. This includes helping to define product standards, data quality expectations, metadata, access considerations, and clear ownership so that users can confidently understand, find and use the data available to them. You’ll maximise value and ensure high-quality data products that enable analytics, AI and business decision making. You’ll also act as a Sub-Chapter Lead within the Product community, and will support capability development, product standards and ways of working across British Heart Foundation (BHF)., Our recruitment processes are fair, accessible, and inclusive. You’ll have a strong knowledge and understanding of technology product development, product lifecycle management and Agile delivery practices. You’ll be comfortable working with complex data, technical teams and business stakeholders, and able to represent user needs while balancing data quality, governance, platform capability, and delivery priorities You’ll have a proven track record as a Product Owner (or similar role) within a technology environment, demonstrating ownership of a product area, including product direction, delivery, performance and prioritisation. You’ll also have the following skills and experience:

• In-depth experience working in Agile environments with multidisciplinary teams through discovery, prioritisation, refinement and delivery
• Experience shaping product direction and leading roadmap, backlog and prioritisation decisions across a product area
• Strong strategic and innovative thinking and problem-solving skills, able to manage complexity across a product area and deliver user and organisational value
• Ability to translate strategic objectives, user insight and complex business and technical challenges into clear product direction, priorities and roadmaps
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to engage others at all levels and navigate competing priorities
• A collaborative, proactive and adaptable leadership style, able to guide, support and coach teams through ambiguity and change
