Network Operations Manager

Pybus Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a highly successful automotive organisation for an experienced Senior Sales Performance & Strategy Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the UK sales strategy, driving retailer performance, and leading a high-performing sales training function.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for defining strategic objectives, monitoring performance through meaningful KPIs, and ensuring clear communication of progress across the retailer network and internal stakeholders. You will also lead a team of professional Sales Trainers, ensuring training delivery directly supports strategic business objectives.

This role would suit an experienced automotive OEM professional with strong network performance management expertise, outstanding analytical capabilities, and proven leadership experience.

• Take ownership of all retailer performance levers, including variable margin programmes, retailer scorecards, and escalation processes.
• Define and implement sales strategies across the UK retailer network through webinars, presentations, video communications, and written updates.
• Analyse retailer composite reports and business performance tools to identify performance gaps, commercial opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Translate performance insights into practical action plans that drive sales growth and operational excellence.
• Produce regular and ad hoc performance reports for senior stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
• Prepare and deliver monthly business updates on progress against key strategic objectives.
• Continuously review and refine KPIs to ensure they remain aligned to business goals.
• Act as the primary contact for relevant suppliers and manage tender processes for contract renewals.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of three Sales Trainers, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and monitoring team effectiveness.
• Visit key retailer partners across the UK to drive engagement, communicate strategy, and gather feedback.
• Support and deliver additional strategic projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Over 5 years’ experience within an automotive OEM environment, ideally within a network-facing performance or sales management role.
• Strong understanding of franchised retailer operations and dealer network performance management.
• Proven experience developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and commercial partnerships.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities with a track record of developing successful teams.
• High levels of agility and adaptability within a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent analytical and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with the confidence to take ownership and initiative.
• Full flexibility to travel throughout the UK.
