Controls Hardware Engineer

Inscribirse en esta oferta We’re excited to be hiring a Controls Hardware Engineer, a key role focused on designing and delivering compliant, high-quality electrical systems that drive our innovative automated solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for selecting and applying control devices, documenting their operational functionality, and creating clear, detailed drawing packages for electrical installation and assembly manufacturing. • Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
• Produce design and manufacturing programs.
• Produce all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.
• Design and produce electrical layout and schematic drawings using appropriate CAD tools.
• Procurement of electrical control panels and installation services; and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.
• Liaise and provide technical information to respective internal teams such as electrical installation supervisors, subcontractors, Project Sales, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Purchasing Department etc.
• Provide technical backup to the service team as required, including bug fixes, enhancements, and modifications.

• Proven experience as Controls Hardware Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or similar role.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive proven hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.
• Desirable experience working with E-Plan, AutoCAD, MS Package.
• A working understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Good understanding of distributed control systems and the principles of industrial networks used to connect and integrate control systems.
• Understanding and use of relevant design requirements such as the Machinery Directive and its harmonized standards, with experience in European Standards.
• Occasional travel to customer sites within the Southern European region and occasional travel to other Dematic offices or facilities in the undertaking of duties.
