Director, ER Performance Improvement

• Oversee and lead strategic and operational activities related to providing analytics, project management, and performance improvement support for the division.
• Engages in projects to develop structural capability as well solving specific business problems.
• Serves as liaison in these functions for division and campus-level leadership, effectively translating and communicating technical work and impacts to healthcare system and clinical care.
• Innovates, adopts, and adapts service offerings, budget, staffing, policies, and talent development for the Analytics, Performance Improvement, and Project Management functions for the division aligned with the health system-level strategy.
• Provides direct supervision to managers for division’s Analytics, Performance Improvement, and Project Management functions and the division-level organizational structure for these areas.
• Provides indirect supervision and mentoring to other matrix reporting relationships as necessary.
• Mentor leadership and other teams to embrace an analytical and critical thinking mindset for high - quality decision making.
• Work effectively with internal and external Leaders to ensure prioritization and timely execution of system enhancement and process improvement projects Provides leadership for interdepartmental, campus-wide, and system-wide initiatives to achieve improvements in clinical care processes, team engagement, patient experience, volume and financial performance.
• Provides overall leadership and support to a professional team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Clinical Analysts, Project Managers, and Process Improvement Specialists, including proactive guidance, troubleshooting support, issue escalation, and development opportunities through timely review and feedback.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office 365 suite, including collaboration and project management tools (Teams, Power BI)
• PowerApps, Flow, Planner, Project, SmartSheet). [Required]
• Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including financial variance analysis and statistical significance. [Preferred] Education:
• Bachelor’s [Required]
• Master’s [Preferred] Field of Study:
• in business, engineering, computer science or healthcare related field
• in business discipline or healthcare-related field Work Experience:
• 4+ of formal management experience [Preferred]
• 4+ of relevant experience in engineering, healthcare, business, or related field [Preferred]
• 4+ proven experience in leading performance improvement projects, referably in a complex organizational environment [Preferred]
