DescriptionSenior Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of software for a complex defense system. This position will focus on object-oriented and embedded software development within a Windows-based environment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing, testing, and integrating software that interfaces with complex hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test object-oriented software using C#
• Develop software for embedded and hardware-integrated applications
• Develop and maintain unit tests using NUnit and Moq
• Support software integration, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
• Participate in Agile software development activities
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams
• Support system-level integration and verification activities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Support occasional travel for integration, testing, or other program needs

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience; Master’s degree with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years
• Extensive experience developing object-oriented software using C#
• Extensive experience with embedded software development
• Experience developing software in a Windows environment
• Experience using NUnit
• Experience using Moq
• Knowledge of SysUML
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools and Agile software development practices
• Ability to travel approximately 10%
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems
• Security+ certification
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
