Job description

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM System Analyst to play a critical role in our enterprise transformation from Lawson to Workday. This position will serve as a key resource supporting the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing administration of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions while partnering with HR, Benefits, Payroll, Pension, Time & Attendance, Finance, Budget, and other business stakeholders.

This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role requiring both strong HR functional knowledge and prior Workday implementation experience. The individual will work closely with the Workday implementation partners, internal subject matter experts, and project stakeholders to ensure the future-state Workday design accurately reflects the organization’s structure, business processes, benefits programs, employee populations, and workforce management requirements., Workday HCM Design & Configuration

  • Assist with the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday HCM modules and business processes.
  • Translate HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Time & Attendance requirements into Workday system designs and configurations.
  • Participate in future-state process design sessions and recommend best-practice solutions.
  • Configure and validate organizational structures, supervisory organizations, job profiles, positions, worker types, compensation structures, security roles, and business process workflows.
  • Support end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and production readiness activities.
  • Work closely with implementation consultants to ensure system configurations meet business requirements and project timelines.

Data Migration & Data Management

  • Lead and support data conversion activities from Lawson and other source systems into Workday.
  • Prepare, organize, cleanse, validate, and reconcile large data sets using spreadsheets and other reporting tools.
  • Compile employee, organizational, benefit, payroll, and historical data from various internal and external sources.
  • Create and maintain data mapping documents, data dictionaries, and conversion templates.
  • Identify data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation exercises before and after migration cycles.

HR, Benefits & Workforce Management Analysis

  • Conduct detailed analysis of current HR and Benefits processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Interpret complex company policies and translate them into Workday configuration requirements.
  • Analyze Time & Attendance policies, accrual rules, leave programs, eligibility rules, benefits plans, and organizational structures for system implementation.
  • Document business requirements, configuration decisions, assumptions, risks, and process flows.
  • Ensure configured solutions align with company policies, compliance requirements, and operational needs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Support

  • Facilitate meetings with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and operational leaders to gather information and validate requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Workday implementation team.
  • Provide project status updates and support issue tracking and resolution activities.
  • Assist with training preparation, process documentation, go-live activities, hypercare support, and long-term system administration.
  • Provide ongoing end-user support, issue triage, and resolution for Workday-related questions and service requests.
  • Support change management efforts and user adoption initiatives.

Workday Platform Support & Administration

  • Provide day-to-day support to HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, managers, and employees using the Workday platform.
  • Manage and maintain Workday business process configurations, security roles, organizational structures, and system settings as business needs evolve.
  • Monitor and evaluate Workday releases and feature enhancements; analyze impacts and coordinate testing and deployment of new functionality.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data extracts.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and expanded utilization of Workday functionality.
  • Support ongoing integrations, data integrity monitoring, audits, and compliance-related activities.
  • Deliver end-user training and support efforts to promote Workday adoption and effective system utilization.
  • Coordinate with Workday Customer Support and third-party vendors on system issues, enhancements, and escalations.
  • Participate in governance activities, prioritization of enhancement requests, and future Workday roadmap planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must have participated in at least one full-cycle Workday implementation, including design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting HRIS, HCM systems, HR operations, or Workday administration.
  • Experience working with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and/or Workforce Management processes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel including: complex formulas, data validation, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and large data set analysis.
  • Experience preparing and managing data conversion templates and migration spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Compensation modules.
  • Workday certification(s) or equivalent implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise implementations involving multiple business units or complex organizational structures.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, employee benefits administration, and timekeeping practices.
  • Experience with reporting and data analysis tools.
