Job description

We run 1,000+ white-label loyalty programs across Europe, serving 17M+ end consumers in 28 countries.
As we move into the next era of loyalty, we are looking for an AI Engineer & Data Scientist (d/f/m) to further build the intelligent core of our platform.
In this role you turn transaction and behavioral data into measurable impact.
You build the models, pipelines and experiments that move us from a “tool to run loyalty” to a platform that “runs loyalty - and proves it works.”
Machine Learning & Data Science: Build and improve ML models that drive personalization and customer insights - e.g. segmentation, churn and behavior prediction, and uplift measurement.
Intelligent, Automated Features: Help develop AI-driven, personalized features across our platform, from automated messaging to smart campaign optimization.
LLM Integration: Integrate large language models into our product and build robust evaluation and grounding to ensure reliable, high-quality output at scale.
Experimentation & Measurement: Design and run A/B tests and causal measurement to prove the real impact of AI-driven features.
Data & ML Pipelines: Work with large-scale transaction and behavioral data, ensure data quality and instrumentation, and bring models reliably into production.
Prototyping & Impact: Rapidly prototype with modern AI tools, validate ideas directly on real data, and drive data-informed decisions across the team., * What matters more than a specific number of years is how you think and what you have already built - whether you are an early-career talent with strong projects or an experienced practitioner.

Requirements

Engineering Skills: Confident with Python (e.g. Pandas, common ML frameworks) and able to bring models into production in a clean, maintainable way.
Experiment & Causal Thinking: You don’t just want to build models - you want to prove they work, with clean measurement and honest attribution.
Proactive Working Style: A structured, solution-oriented and self-directed approach to new, open-ended problems.
Language: Professional English skills; German is a welcome plus.
Location: You are ready to join our team on-site in Leonding (Linz) or Vienna., * LLM & GenAI Experience: Hands-on experience with modern language models - prompting, RAG/grounding, tool use, and above all the systematic evaluation of AI outputs.
AI-First Approach: You use AI tools daily, have built prototypes yourself, and hold a well-founded view on how AI products will evolve over the coming years.

We offer a base salary of € 60,000 gross per year, with a market-competitive overpayment depending on your track record and expertise.
