Job description

Implement, develop and maintain Azure PaaS and IaaS, including VMs, App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, VNets and Application Gateway
Implement, develop and maintain on-premises and private cloud infrastructure, including HCI and virtualisation platforms
Implement, develop and maintain networking, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, switching, firewalls and routing
Implement, develop and maintain Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams
Implement, develop and maintain server, storage and virtualisation environments
Implement, develop and maintain backup and recovery platforms
Carry out monitoring, patching and proactive infrastructure management
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
Produce technical documentation and share knowledge
Act as an SME escalation point for Service Desk and Application Support teams
Work with the Development Team on new integrations and web applications

Requirements

Proven experience working in a modern enterprise infrastructure environment
Strong experience with on-premises servers, storage and virtualisation
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across both PaaS and IaaS
Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, switching, firewalls, routing and network security
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and proactive issue resolution
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Experience working across server, network, storage and security technologies
A practical, collaborative approach and a willingness to keep developing technical knowledge
Experience with Nutanix would be advantageous
