IT Manager

We are not looking for someone who just wants to manage. We are looking for someone who wants to build. This department is young and growing. The infrastructure is real, the team is in place, and the foundation is solid - but there is a lot of work to do to mature operations, improve processes, and scale for continued growth. The person in this role needs to be willing to do the work and lead the team at the same time.

That means you might be working alongside the Systems Administrator on a network deployment in the morning, running a vendor call after lunch, and presenting a budget recommendation to leadership before the end of the day. What You Will Do

• Work alongside the existing IT team to deliver infrastructure projects, system deployments, and technical improvements across 34 locations.
• Own vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, and IT budget management.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures, documentation, and change management.
• Evaluate the current technology environment and drive improvements.
• Partner with the IT Director on department strategy, staffing recommendations, and long-term planning.
• Lead the team day-to-day - 1-on-1s, workload management, mentorship, and accountability.
• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for operations, marketing, finance, and executive leadership.
• As the department matures, take on full people management responsibilities including hiring, performance reviews, and building out the team., * Corporate office in Austin, TX with regular visits to restaurant locations.
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work for critical infrastructure events or major deployments.
• Local travel with occasional overnight for new store openings or vendor meetings.

• You have done the technical work. You have managed people. And you did not stop doing one when you started doing the other.
• You are the person who sees a problem and fixes it, whether that means configuring a firewall or renegotiating a vendor contract.
• You have strong opinions about how IT should run and you are not afraid to defend them.
• You are operationally disciplined. You document your work, follow process, and hold your team to the same standard.
• You communicate proactively - leadership never has to chase you for a status update.
• You push back when something does not make sense, and you do it professionally.
• You treat the department like it is yours to build. Because that is exactly what this role is., * 6-10 years of progressive IT experience with both hands-on technical work and team leadership.
• At least 2 years managing or leading an IT team.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, enterprise networking, endpoint management, and security.
• Demonstrated experience with vendor management, IT budgets, and procurement.
• Multi-location or distributed environment experience required. Restaurant, retail, or hospitality strongly preferred.

• Salary: $115,000 - $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
