Word Press Developer - FullStack

• Develop and support our WordPress/WooCommerce storefront across the full stack, including customer-facing interfaces, custom plugins, back-end services, and APIs.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress plugins, themes, and block editor (Gutenberg) components to support merchandising, product presentation, and customer workflows.
• Extend and customize WooCommerce functionality including product data models, cart and checkout flows, payment and shipping logic, and the order lifecycle.
• Design, build, and consume REST APIs and webhooks that connect the storefront to internal business systems, third-party platforms, and marketing tools.
• Collaborate with ecommerce, marketing, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate needs into technical solutions, and deliver reliable software that supports online revenue.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment support, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve site performance, Core Web Vitals, and front-end quality, and support site security, patching, and platform hardening practices.
• Write maintainable, well-structured code and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.

This role will work across storefront interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and the data flows that connect our online business to internal systems, helping deliver a reliable, high-performing shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable contributing across the full application stack and enjoys solving practical commerce problems through thoughtful software design and development., * Proven experience developing and supporting production ecommerce sites across both front-end and back-end layers.

• Strong proficiency with PHP 8.x and the WordPress plugin and theme development model, including hooks, filters, custom post types, and the WP REST API.
• Hands-on WooCommerce development experience, including extending core behavior through its APIs and data stores rather than modifying core.
• Solid front-end skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS, with React experience for block editor and interactive storefront work.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations between an ecommerce platform and external systems such as ERP, payments, tax, shipping, or marketing services.
• Working knowledge of MySQL, query performance, and data troubleshooting in support of application development.
• Familiarity with Git, code review practices, Composer, WP-CLI, and modern deployment workflows across staging and production environments.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to accelerate delivery, with the judgment to review, test, and take ownership of the code they produce.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a practical understanding of how technical choices affect customer experience and business outcomes., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• 3-7 years of full-time full stack development experience, with hands-on PHP and WordPress work.
• 3+ years developing on WooCommerce or a comparable ecommerce platform supporting a live, revenue-generating storefront.

This is a hands-on development role on our ecommerce team, working in a WordPress and WooCommerce environment. You will contribute to feature development, bug fixes, integrations, and technical improvements across the storefront, with strong leadership support and room to continue growing your technical depth and ownership over time.
