Web Developer

Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and managing websites using a content management system (CMS), preferably Drupal and/or WordPress.

Working knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with the ability to identify and remediate common accessibility issues.

Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) or similar web analytics platforms, with the ability to interpret website data, identify user behavior and trends, and translate findings into recommendations for content, navigation, and website improvements.

Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop or comparable image-editing software, including resizing, cropping, optimizing, and preparing images and graphics for web use.

Experience with version control, web documentation, quality assurance/testing, and development workflows.

Understanding of SEO and web performance best practices, including page structure, metadata, search discoverability, image optimization, and site performance.

Experience with UI/UX design principles, including user-centered design, information architecture, navigation, wireframing, and usability.

Formal training, certification, or demonstrated advanced experience in digital accessibility, including WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA compliance and accessibility testing/remediation.

Experience conducting usability testing, accessibility audits, or user-experience assessments and implementing improvements based on findings.

Experience working in higher education, government, nonprofit, or another complex organization with multiple stakeholders and content owners.

Experience supporting websites within an institutional brand/design system and maintaining visual and content consistency across web properties.

Experience using Google Analytics and other data sources to make evidence-based recommendations for website strategy, content organization, and user engagement.
