Medior System Engineer

IT Recruitment is looking for her client in Leiden for a Medior System Engineer. The primary responsibility of the Internal IT team is to provide internal IT services for almost our 400 internal users within the Netherlands and about 2200 users globally. Your job will include large infra and software projects and dealing with process requests (2nd and 3rd line incidents, problems and changes) investigating, logging, diagnosing, trouble-shooting and responding to our internal users. You will troubleshoot system- and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults in order to restore system availability as quickly as possible. What your day will look like We have a clear and defined road map to deliver within the next 3 years, which is centred around a large-scale digital transformation. Some key objectives of these projects include moving the business towards a cloud-based infrastructure and to build and enhance a centralised IT landscape. Your role as a system engineer will include both 2nd and 3rd line support for technical incidents and problems and to contribute in our IT project teams to implement new technical solutions.

• Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues(2nd and 3rd line) relating to applications and services
• Contributes to maintenance, installation and problem resolution
• Assists in investigation and resolution of network problems
• Ongoing maintenance and support of the entire IT Infrastructure
• Monitoring and alerting on the operational status of the IT infrastructure
• Proactively prevent problems and automate standard tasks

• In depth knowledge of the MS admin centres (Exchange, Azure, OneDrive and SharePoint). You will be able to configure, maintain and troubleshoot. On the back-end side you can set up new users.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, with proven experience as a global administrator of a Microsoft 365 environment
• Knowledge of Active Directory, OU, User and Group Management
• Understanding of AV/conference software, maintenance
• Experience with both on-premise as cloud based systems
• Knowledge of networks is a must, CCNA certification is a pre
• Experience with PowerShell is a must, experience with puppet is a pre
• High service orientation and hands on mentality
• Ability to work closely with others in a small team
• You enjoy technical challenges
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile ways of working is a major plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English
