Datacenter Technician

Our client in The Hague is expanding, and they are looking to hire a full-time Datacenter Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the enterprise class colocation facilities located in The Hague. This position is responsible to help deliver 100% uptime during each calendar year for critical building systems (i.e. electrical, mechanical, security, fire protection, etc.), and provide professional and problem-free services to our customers. This position will be Monday - Friday for a total of 40 hours; however, this position will have responsibilities 24/7/365. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage the maintenance and operations of data center infrastructure and building support systems.
• Advise on facility maintenance programs as well as equipment and system operations.
• Mechanical and electrical support for power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, heat rejection systems and fire systems.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of infrastructure systems.
• Support facility design and construction.
• Help develop, implement and improve maintenance standards that support site operations.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to standards, schedules and specifications.
• Conduct daily checklist of data center to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.

• 1+ years’ experience in a technical environment
• Operating, troubleshooting and maintenance of Mission Critical Mechanical and/or Electrical Support Systems required.
• Experience using test equipment to evaluate and troubleshoot equipment operations.
• Basic trade craft; termination of CAT-5 cable, POTS, punch downs, optical terminations cable lacing and splicing.
• Understanding of networking.
• Knowledge with principles of routing, client/server programming.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Systems a plus.
• Data center experience a plus.
• Bilingual (English and Dutch).
