Senior Data Quality Officer (REDEPLOYEE APPLICANTS ONLY)

** Background - Registry Services, within Academic Services, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effective use of student data across the University. The Senior Data Quality Officer plays a key role in monitoring and improving student data quality, supporting statutory reporting, compliance and operational decision-making. Working collaboratively with Schools and Professional Services teams, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of business processes, statutory returns and data management practices.

** Responsibilities - Working in a team of four, this role will develop and monitor reporting frameworks that support statutory returns and student data quality. The post holder will analyse and investigate data quality issues, undertake root cause analysis, and work with stakeholders to implement improvements. You will promote effective use of student data, support audit readiness, and ensure compliance with data governance, GDPR and institutional requirements. ** Person Specification - You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent experience, with strong expertise in data analysis, reporting tools and databases. Experience of student record systems, such as SITS, and knowledge of data quality and governance principles are essential. You will have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, resolve data quality issues and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
