Workday Functional Analyst I is a entry-level functional role for someone with foundational Workday knowledge (1 year of experience), focused on supporting basic business process, report, and configuration tasks with significant guidance., * Learn and support Business Process fundamentals within assigned Workday module(s)
- Assist in building and maintaining basic custom reports using Report Writer
- Create and modify simple calculated fields
- Participate in configuration reviews, testing, and support ticket resolution
- Document configuration, changes, and test steps for audit and continuity
- Work with more senior analysts to understand functional business requirements
- Gain familiarity with functional modules such as HCM, Compensation, or Benefits, Leads complex, multi-workstream product initiatives as a principal Product Owner. Owns product vision, strategy, backlog integrity, prioritization, and Scrum team alignment. Coordinates Product, Engineering, Design, Delivery, and other stakeholders; improves execution discipline, transparency, and outcome tracking. Stabilizes programs with fragmented ownership or elevated delivery risk while ensuring customer and business requirements are addressed. Requires substantial Product Owner or Senior Product Manager experience, preferably in payments or financial services., Leads revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, collections, audit readiness, and financial controls. Owns ASC 606 compliance, billing systems, process automation, AI-enabled accounting improvements, reporting, and cross-functional alignment. Manages and mentors the accounting team while supporting scalable revenue operations and public-company readiness. Requirements
- Approximately 1 year of Workday or similar ERP functional experience
- Foundational knowledge of Business Processes, Report Writer, and basic configuration
- Associates degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good written and verbal communication skills, Leads revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, collections, audit readiness, and financial control operations. Ensures ASC 606 and GAAP compliance, manages billing platforms and ERP integrations, drives automation and AI adoption, develops scalable processes, partners cross-functionally, reports financial metrics, and supervises accounting staff. Requires extensive revenue accounting and billing experience in SaaS or software, management expertise, and strong technical accounting knowledge. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $88,691.20 - $127,649.60 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
