Job Summary and Responsibilities As ourCoder Lead, you will serve as a vital subject matter expert and mentor within our Revenue Cycle department. You will provide critical leadership by coordinating daily coding workflows, assessing production and quality standards, and acting as a key liaison between physicians and support staff. Your role is essential in troubleshooting complex billing issues, ensuring clinical documentation integrity, and maintaining adherence to government regulations while utilizing electronic health record systems like Epic. Every day you will oversee the productivity of the coding team, which includes facilitating new hire training, shadowing, and conducting performance quality reviews. You will manage incoming coding volume and charge lag reporting, provide analytical insights to revenue cycle leadership, and monitor customer service work queues to resolve coding concerns. To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant professional certification such as CPC, CCS, or RHIT, and possess 5-7 years of robust coding experience in a healthcare organization. You must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities for small and large group training, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your commitment to detail, combined with your ability to relate well with staff at all levels, will ensure high-quality coding performance and continued professional development for your team.
