Data Center Technician

• Install, rack, cable, configure, and remove servers and network equipment.
• Perform rack-and-stack and structured-cabling activities.
• Install, label, trace, and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, network connectivity, and cabling issues.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, network cards, cables, and related components.
• Provide remote-hands support and respond to incidents, service requests, and tickets.
• Support receiving, staging, deployment, moves, inventory, and equipment retirement.
• Document completed work and follow security, safety, change, and escalation procedures.

• Hands-on data center or IT infrastructure support experience.
• Rack-and-stack, server installation, and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Copper and fiber-optic cabling knowledge.
• Understanding of servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
• Ticketing or incident-management system experience.
• Ability to read rack elevations, cable maps, and technical instructions.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Hyperscale, enterprise, colocation, GPU, AI, or HPC data center experience.
• Linux, fiber testing, and structured-cabling experience.
• ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar experience.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, BICSI, or comparable certification.
