IT Team Leader - Educational Trust

• Provide day-to-day second- and third-line IT support to staff and students across two schools
• Support Apple and Windows environments, networking, AV equipment and backups
• Line manage an IT Media Technician
• Act as the escalation point for issues and make decisions as needed
• Prioritise the IT departments workload and contribute to short- and long-term IT plans
• Represent the IT team within the school
• Work closely with the IT Operations Manager and the Trusts IT and Media teams
• Liaise with Department Heads and school leadership about urgent or complex issues

• Solid technical grounding in Windows 10, Server 2016, Hyper-V 2019, Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience supporting Apple hardware, including iMacs, iPads and iOS devices
• Advanced networking knowledge, including patching, cable management, VLANs and switching
• PC hardware troubleshooting and AV support, including projectors, speakers and screens
• Strong problem-solving skills, a team-oriented approach and the ability to work under pressure to tight timescales
• Ability to work independently and use initiative without close supervision
• A confident, customer-facing manner
• Desirable: experience with Veeam Backup, SCCM, SIMS.net or a similar education MIS, PaperCut and Office 365
• A driving licence is desirable for travel between sites

We are a multi-academy trust in the education sector recruiting an IT Team Leader to support two schools in Dunstable, Luton. This is a permanent, onsite role, five days a week, with a salary of £40,000-£42,500. The role combines hands-on technical support with ownership of day-to-day IT operations and longer-term planning for hardware, software and infrastructure.
