We are hiring a Python Senior Software Engineer in Manchester, with five days per week on site and flexible working arrangements available to discuss with your recruiter. You will join our Operational Cyber Group, a team of industry-leading experts in high-assurance development, research, reverse engineering, and vulnerability research, focused on National Security and some of the countrys toughest challenges. • Familiarity with a variety of development tools and techniques, including IDEs, debuggers, source control, unit testing, mocking, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of the principles of high-assurance development and an awareness of the importance of IT security for companies and governments.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of computing principles, such as stack/heap distinction and compiled/interpreted languages.
• Proficiency with at least one solution language, such as C++, Java, or C#, and one utility language, such as Python, JavaScript, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Ability to use and configure more than one major operating system.
• Ability to pick up new languages and technologies easily.
• Ability to communicate technical topics to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring others and/or leading technical tasks.
