Performance and Intelligence Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a Directorate Performance & Intelligence Manager to join the Health in Justice service at Practice Plus Group.

You will work across the South and IRCs directorate which covers our prisons in the South of England and our Immigration Removal Centres at Gatwick, Heathrow and Derwentside.

This role is home based, with travel to sites across the directorate as required.

This is a senior analytical and performance management role within Health in Justice at Practice Plus Group, reporting to the Operations Director. The primary purpose of the role is to turn complex operational and performance data into meaningful insights that support decision-making, improve services, and drive operational excellence across prison healthcare services., As a Directorate Performance & Intelligence Manager your responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Lead regional business intelligence, performance reporting, and analytical services.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance packs using tools such as Power BI.
• Analyse operational, clinical, workforce, and contractual data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Produce executive-level reports and insights for senior leaders.
• Act as the main point of contact for performance and intelligence enquiries.
• Work with operational leaders to identify areas requiring improvement.
• Support performance reviews, transformation programmes, and service improvement projects.
• Investigate underperformance and recommend evidence-based solutions.
• Monitor compliance against KPIs, contracts, and operational standards.
• Support recovery plans and improvement initiatives.
• Support contract reviews, audits, inspections, and commissioner meetings.
• Produce reports for commissioners and regulators.
• Lead data quality assurance processes.
• Ensure compliance with information governance requirements.

• Significant performance management, business intelligence, analytics and operational intelligence experience
• Experience supporting senior leaders with data-driven decision-making.
• Significant experience identifying performance risks and recommending improvements and operational intelligence.
• Experience delivering analytical support for operational improvement and transformation projects.
• Experience working in complex, highly regulated, or multi-site environments.
• Experience presenting findings to senior leadership teams.
• Strong understanding of performance management and business intelligence principles.
• Understanding of KPI frameworks and performance measurement methodologies.

This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week.

You will receive an annual salary of £45,000 to £50,000 per annum.
