Cybersecurity Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT security team. The ideal candidate will assist with monitoring security events, identifying potential threats, maintaining security controls, and supporting incident response activities. This role provides an opportunity to develop practical experience in cybersecurity, network security, and security operations., * Monitor security alerts, logs, and events using security monitoring and SIEM tools.

• Assist in identifying, investigating, and documenting potential security incidents.
• Perform basic vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
• Analyze network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity.
• Assist with endpoint security, access control, and security configuration.
• Support incident response and cybersecurity investigation procedures.
• Maintain security documentation, reports, and incident records.
• Assist with user access reviews, password policies, and security controls.
• Participate in vulnerability management, patch management, and security assessments.
• Follow established cybersecurity policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT, network, cloud, and application teams to address security issues.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive techniques.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, and information security principles.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of common security threats, vulnerabilities, malware, phishing, and attack techniques.
• Basic understanding of SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Wireshark, Nessus, or similar security tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts, including AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
• Basic knowledge of scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus., Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
