Job description
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting production data to support operational decision-making, improve efficiency and identify opportunities for cost reduction across the business.
The role will have a particular focus on transforming production data into meaningful insights, supporting a data-driven culture and ensuring accurate reporting across the site. You will work closely with operational teams to identify trends, resolve performance issues and support continuous improvement initiatives., * Collect, validate, organise and analyse production data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce and maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports to support business decision-making.
- Monitor production performance and provide data-driven insights to improve efficiency, resource utilisation and operational effectiveness.
- Support operational teams by investigating production issues and identifying opportunities to minimise disruption and downtime.
- Identify and support initiatives that reduce production costs and improve overall business performance.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Technical and other departments to ensure reporting supports operational and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes that support a data-driven approach across the business.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure production data is readily available to support planning and operational decisions.
The above list is not exhaustive. Due to business needs, you may be required to carry out additional reasonable duties within the scope of the role. To ensure maximum efficiencies within the operation, flexibility is essential and you may be required to assist in other areas of the business.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence using spreadsheets and business systems.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and identify trends.
- Experience working with data, reports and performance information.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data.
Desirable
- Experience of data analysis within a manufacturing or operational environment.
- Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment.
- Experience using reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar.
- Awareness of food safety, HACCP, BRCGS or related manufacturing standards.
- Relevant qualification in Data Analysis, Business, Manufacturing or a related discipline.

£30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience), * Competitive salary.
