Job description

  • Install and terminate fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a) across commercial sites
  • Pull and route cable via ceilings, under-floor risers, and across-floor ducting
  • Install and commission CCTV systems (camera placement, NVR setup, cable runs) and wireless access points, including working at height
  • Patch panel termination and infrastructure cabinet builds
  • Conduct pre-installation site surveys and post-installation testing
  • Maintain documentation of issues, solutions, installations, and as-built records
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Office 365, and general software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software; handle remote support via phone, email, and remote tools
  • Manage Active Directory tasks (password resets, user management)
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand site requirements and resolve complex issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support, desktop engineering, and/or structured cabling installation
  • Experience with fiber/Copper termination, CCTV systems, and access point deployment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and basic networking
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic server-side support (a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Customer-focused mindset; able to work independently and in a team
  • MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience desirable
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP, or similar) preferred but not essential
