Job description

  • Design, develop and maintain Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate solutions for Employer Engagement data.
  • Gather user requirements and translate these into practical, user-friendly digital solutions.
  • Develop processes for integrating data from agreed sources into the Power App and wider data environment.
  • Work with data colleagues to support integration with Databricks, the existing CRM and Lakehouse.
  • Plan and support user acceptance testing, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
  • Manage user permissions and ensure the application meets business and information governance requirements.
  • Produce user guidance, training materials and technical documentation, supporting non-technical users.
  • Work with the wider data team to ensure data can support DWP reporting requirements through Power BI.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, adoption, training and the transition of the Power App into business-as-usual operation.
  • Provide regular progress updates and escalate risks, issues and dependencies as required.

Requirements

The successful post holder will work closely with the Connect to Work project and data teams to design, develop and implement a Power App for collecting, validating and managing Employer Engagement data. The role will require a confident, self-directed individual with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders updated on progress., * Strong experience using Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate to develop data collection solutions.

  • Experience gathering requirements and delivering practical digital solutions.
  • Experience testing, troubleshooting and supporting applications in a live environment.
  • Good understanding of data modelling, data quality, data integration and ETL principles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with externally facing applications, Databricks or other cloud data platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript or similar technologies would be advantageous.
