Job description

As our IT Desk Support Specialist you will be the first point of contact for technical support across our UK organisation. This is a hands-on role within our IT, Workplace and Facilities team in London, working closely with colleagues across the business to keep everyone productive every day. It is a newly created position with real scope to shape it as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Providing first-line IT support via desk-side, phone, email and ticketing systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and access issues
  • Onboarding new starters: preparing equipment, configuring accounts and setting up system access
  • Setting up and maintaining laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices and other IT kit
  • Managing user accounts, permissions and access requests in line with security policy
  • Owning the IT support ticket queue and keeping SLAs on track
  • Maintaining accurate IT asset records and inventory

Requirements

  • Experience in an IT helpdesk, service desk, or desktop support role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills: you work the problem, not the panic
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and common workplace IT
  • Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing tools
  • Clear communicator: able to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Proactive ownership: you see a problem and see it through to resolution, * Previous experience in an IT helpdesk, service desk, or desktop support role
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
