Job description
- Develop and maintain Python-based software tools supporting automated testing efforts.
- Create and maintain test libraries interfacing with ECUs, test management systems, and defect tracking platforms.
- Develop automation scripts that convert manual test cases into automated tests.
- Maintain automation configurations, execution pipelines, and test infrastructure.
- Partner with software development and manual testing teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues through root cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to Agile Scrum ceremonies and sprint deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of Python development experience.
- Experience with:
- Object-oriented programming
- Data structures and algorithms
- Multithreading concepts
- Software design and development
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.
- Comfortable working onsite 4 days per week.
Preferred
- PyTest, Slash, or other automated testing frameworks.
- Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Linux and Windows command-line scripting.
- Batch, shell scripting, or automation engineering experience.
- Groovy, Java, or C++ development experience.
- GitHub source control experience.
- Jira and TestRail experience.
- Embedded Linux or QNX experience.
- Django or web application development.
- Squish or automated GUI testing tools.
- SQL/database experience.
