Job description
We’re looking for a friendly, capable IT Support Engineer to join us. You’ll work closely with the business owner, and your work will directly shape how our clients experience our service., You’ll be the go-to person for our clients’ day-to-day IT needs. That means picking up the phone, resolving issues remotely, and heading out to client sites when a problem needs hands-on attention. No two days are the same., * Answer inbound calls and emails from clients, logging and prioritising tickets
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support remotely and on site across the Greater Manchester area
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals
- Manage Microsoft 365 users, licences, mailboxes and permissions (Exchange Online, Entra ID)
- Monitor and maintain client devices using our RMM platform (NinjaOne)
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting (switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
- Set up and deploy new devices for new starters
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and keep clients updated throughout
- Keep clear, accurate notes and documentation, * Hybrid working, with a mix of working from home and on-site visits
- Clear progression, with support to develop your skills and certifications as the business grows
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Requirements
- At least 1 year’s experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (MSP experience is a bonus)
- Confident on the phone with a friendly, personable manner
- A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and willingness to travel to client sites
- Based in or within easy commuting distance of Bury
- Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- A logical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
- Able to explain technical issues in plain English to non-technical users
Nice to have
- Experience with an RMM or PSA tool
- Knowledge of Entra ID, Intune or Exchange Online administration
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (or working towards them), * IT helpdesk: 1 year (required)
