IT Assistant - Part time

We are looking for an IT Assistant to provide day-to-day technical support and assist with the maintenance of our organisation’s IT systems, equipment, networks and digital platforms.

Essential:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• A relevant IT qualification at Level 2 or above, such as Information Technology, Computing, Digital Support or a related subject.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to set up and support laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones and user accounts.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle organisational information securely.
• Willingness to learn new systems and develop technical skills.

Desirable:

• Level 3 qualification, BTEC, diploma or equivalent in IT, Computing or a related field.
• Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or technical support environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and user access management.
• Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, antivirus and data backup.
• Familiarity with website maintenance.
• Understanding of UK GDPR and data protection.
• Experience supporting cloud-based workplace systems and applications.

Experience: Previous IT support experience is desirable, but applications from candidates with a relevant IT qualification and strong practical IT skills will also be considered.
