E-Commerce Executive

Swift Temps are recruiting on behalf of our client for an eCommerce Assistant to join their growing team in Ellesmere Port.

This is a varied role covering eCommerce, online marketplaces, SEO, product content, administration, data and digital marketing, with plenty of scope for someone who is commercially minded and keen to develop their skills.

The successful candidate will play an important role in managing and developing the company’s online sales channels, with opportunities to contribute ideas, identify new products and help drive sales.

The Role

• Managing and developing product listings across online marketplaces including Amazon and eBay
• Maintaining accurate and engaging product descriptions, images and online content
• Using SEO knowledge to improve product visibility and search performance
• Monitoring marketplace performance, sales data and customer activity
• Using data, research and statistics to support commercial decision-making
• Researching new and popular products and identifying potential sales opportunities
• Supporting online sales and promotional activity across social media
• Creating and editing product imagery using Adobe Photoshop or similar software
• Supporting photography and content creation where required
• Working with emerging technologies and AI tools to improve productivity and online content
• Completing general business administration and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the wider team with research, reporting and commercial projects
• Managing workload effectively and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and online performance

We’re looking for someone who is commercially aware, creative and highly organised, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of their workload.

You should have:

• Previous experience working with eCommerce marketplaces, particularly Amazon and/or eBay
• Good understanding of current SEO principles
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• The ability to analyse information and use data to make informed decisions
• A methodical approach and high level of accuracy
• The ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Good general business administration experience
• A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach
• At least 3 years’ experience within a business/office environment would be advantageous

Desirable Experience

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

• Photography experience, particularly using mobile and/or DSLR cameras
• Experience driving sales through Facebook, Instagram or TikTok
• Product sourcing and market research experience
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies
• Background in sales, marketing or retail
• Video editing and content production
• Knowledge of basic HTML, scripting or IT development
• Knowledge of electrical appliances
• Additional European language skills
• A relevant university degree, * E-commerce: 5 years (preferred)

• £28,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
