Job description
IT Helpdesk
- Act as the primary point of contact for all UK requests.
- Manage and support all IT operations including servers, firewalls, networks, CCTVs, PCs, laptops, printers and dispenser machine configurations.
- Provide technical support to the employees of the company.
- Promptly manage and update tickets raised by employees.
- Perform routine service check to ensure calibration and full compliance of hardware and software systems in all UK branches.
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers, hardware and software suppliers, and SIM card suppliers.
- Lead troubleshooting and maintenance for all users.
Configuration and Infrastructure Logistics
- Maintain and update inventory of hardware and software systems.
- Upgrade systems and assist with the installation and configuration of hardware and software of all network components amidst the branch.
- Manage the logistics of infrastructure across the branches in the UK.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols in compliance with company procedures and processes.
- Collaborate with IT department peers globally to ensure service continuity and improvement.
- Monitor system access, vulnerabilities and data integrity breaches.
Offboarding and Onboarding
- Train new and existing employees on new and existing IT systems.
- Support HR department with the offboarding and onboarding of employees on company IT database.
Other Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
- Ensure the security of information systems by implementing robust security protocols and practices.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and systems.
- Oversee systems engineering projects and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide technical support for users, including desktop support and remote access solutions.
- Conduct regular analysis of network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Manage network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN configurations and firewall settings.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and develop solutions.
- Maintain documentation of IT processes using tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT field service, ideally within financial services or currency exchange environments.
- Proven experience managing IT networks in multiple sites.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Microsoft certified systems engineer are advantageous.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in server management, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles and practices.
- Experience with network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Expertise in systems engineering principles and practices.
- Proficient in using SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.
- Experience with Active Directory for user management and authentication.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices for service management.
- Strong technical support skills across various platforms (desktop support, remote access software).
- Excellent computer networking skills, including DHCP, IIS, SQL, vSphere, AWS, Azure, Cisco routers.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with experience in supervising IT staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities.

Role requirements
- Full time position, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work on weekends or after-hours support if necessary.
- Travel to branches in the United kingdom will be required.
