Job description

The role of the Technology Manager is to ensure that new Wind Turbine developments are fitting with the operational Installation & Commissioning (I&C) requirements and manage the ramp up in the projects., * Collaborate and represent Installation & Commissioning in the new product development ensuring close collaboration with the regional teams

  • Compiling all the requirements (from O2team, Supervision, Commissioning and the regions) coming from operations in one clear deliverable
  • Following the fulfillment of those requirements during the PEP process
  • Providing technical electrical expertise and support during the development phase, the PT (prototype) and ramp-up phase of a project (e.g. new windturbine, new tool, changed process, etc.)
  • Participate in the simultaneous engineering team meetings as key stakeholder from installation and commissioning and coordinate relevant technical contributors
  • Follow up on the key requirements in the different forums including ad-hoc meetings, integration and SE meetings
  • Manage the coordination of the prototypes, indoor and mockup test on site as I&C focal point
  • Managing/leading the Prototype working side by side with the region
  • Taking all the lessons learnt from the Proto/s and following the implementation of the solution ramp-up and improvements
  • Create & develop new ideas to improve and optimize the Installation & Commissioning technologies or provide cost out initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • At least 3-5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams involved in new designs/processes. 3-5 years of experience as Site Manager or similar is desirable
  • Experience with CAD-PLM (Teamcenter, AutoCAD, Teamcenter Visualization), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), MS Project, SAP
  • Ability to work in an international team, self-responsible, structured, process- and solution-oriented way of working, focused on building strong relationships with the different stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator with strong English skills, fluent spoken and written
  • Spanish, Portuguese and/or German language skills are a benefit
