Job description

We are recruiting for a Data Coordinator to join a busy utilities and infrastructure contractor based in Havant.

This is a fast-paced coordination and administration role where you’ll work closely with site teams, supervisors and project management to make sure project information is accurate, complete and up to date.

You don’t need to come from a water background. We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident working with data and, importantly, proactive enough to chase people when information is missing.

This is a busy operational environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable speaking with different teams, asking questions and making sure you get the information you need rather than waiting for it to come to you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collecting, inputting and checking project data from site and operational teams
  • Keeping databases and project systems accurate and up to date
  • Chasing missing information and resolving discrepancies
  • Liaising with Site Supervisors, Engineers and Project Managers
  • Tracking project progress, KPIs, milestones and deliverables
  • Preparing regular reports, dashboards and data summaries
  • Supporting client and management reporting requirements
  • Assisting with document control and project records
  • Checking information meets company and client requirements
  • Supporting data audits and compliance
  • Identifying where processes or reporting could be improved

Requirements

You could come from a data coordination, administration, project support or construction administration background.

Experience within utilities, construction, civil engineering or another operational environment would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential.

More importantly, you’ll need:

  • Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working with large amounts of information
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach to chasing outstanding information
  • Confidence communicating with site and operational teams
  • The ability to question information where something doesn’t look right
  • A reliable, accurate and methodical approach to your work

You’ll be joining a busy project team where accurate information is essential to keeping works moving, so this would suit someone who enjoys being organised, likes getting to the bottom of things and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and chase an update.
