Job description
- Take ownership of all IT infrastructure, networks, systems and devices, ensuring reliability, security and performance
- Act as the primary internal contact for IT support, troubleshooting issues and providing user assistance across the business
- Manage user accounts, access controls, permissions and system configurations
- Lead the development and optimisation of Salesforce and other critical business systems, ensuring they deliver maximum value through improved processes, automation, reporting and user adoption
- Act as the business owner for Salesforce, driving continuous improvement, data quality, reporting capability, integrations and future development
- Support and improve ERP, finance, productivity and reporting systems across the organisation
- Lead the implementation and development of AI tools to improve business efficiency and performance
- Coordinate and manage external IT providers and system partners
- Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures and controls, including security, backups and business continuity planning
- Support colleagues in adopting and effectively using digital tools through training, guidance and ongoing support
- Manage system upgrades, changes and improvement projects with effective planning and communication
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve risks and recurring issues
- Maintain accurate system documentation, policies and processes

- Develop and maintain a clear IT and digital systems roadmap aligned to business growth plans
- Develop a roadmap for Salesforce and other key business systems that supports commercial growth, operational efficiency and business intelligence
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work and enhance data visibility across the business
- Work with senior leadership to ensure systems scale effectively with the organisation as it continues to grow
- Champion the adoption of new technologies, automation and AI-driven solutions where they can add business value

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hands-on IT or digital systems role
- Experience supporting and managing business-critical systems in an SME environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, operating systems and servers
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
- Experience managing and improving business systems including CRM, ERP and reporting platforms
- Understanding of IT security, access control and permissions management
- Experience working with external IT providers and technology partners
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Salesforce customisation, integrations, workflows, automation and reporting
- Experience with cloud platforms, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 administration
- Exposure to AI tools, Microsoft Copilot or AI rollouts within a business environment
- Knowledge of process automation and digital transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting technology within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Relevant Microsoft, Salesforce or other IT certifications, * This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to attend the office regularly. Candidates must be able to travel to site within approximately one hour - is this a feasible commute for you?

Based at our purpose-built facility near Bury St Edmunds, this hybrid role requires regular attendance on site and offers the opportunity to become a trusted technology partner within a growing international business. Candidates should be able to travel to site within approximately one hour.
