ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Essential duties include:
- Assist Combatant Commands with the development, planning, analysis, execution, and assessment of wargames and exercises scenarios using digital models and simulations.
- Support testing phases for exercises and wargames, including System Verification Test, Event Verification Test, Event Functional Test, and Event Operational Test.
- Develop and coordinate curriculum, course products and training materials with internal and external providers.
- Develop and maintain a training plan that keeps contractor workforce proficient in MDA MDS Operational tools, modeling & simulation software, and network connections.
- Train the warfighter on operability and application of wargames and exercises tools, including future capabilities.
- Create and maintain documentation, including quick reference guides, and best practices, to facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Develop comprehensive training materials for participants, facilitators, and controllers to articulate event objectives and procedures.
- Serve as liaison between internal MDA organizations.
- Provide daily updates while supporting a JELC event, and post reports for any event within the JELC and Execution.
- Identify event risks, provide risk assessments, and identify potential mitigation plans.
- Facilitate after-action reviews and collect feedback and insights to inform future wargame and exercise planning.
- Develop and coordinate Event Execution Reports including key lessons learned; disseminate Event Execution Reports.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in related field with 8+ years’ relevant experience
- Relevant Experience Requirements:
- Apply Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and system engineering concepts to maximize the use of M&S to support wargames and exercise objectives
- Experience executing wargames and exercises, developing exercise architectures, verifying operational connections for exercise components
- Knowledge of MDS, components, and system-level topics.
- Capable of establishing and optimizing priorities and managing planning and readiness activities of MDS test events IAW approved wargames and exercises issuances (e.g., CONOPS).
- Understanding of scenario development, threat execution, WG&E design, development and execution during all phases of JELC.
- In absence of a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree may be substituted with an additional 5 years of experience
- Experience in lieu of the above requirements will be considered

- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on data.
