Job description

  • Manage digital transformation projects from planning through to delivery
  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, resources and key deliverables
  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure projects meet agreed objectives
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain clear project documentation, reports and status updates
  • Support effective communication between project teams, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales and requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of digital and IT processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital or IT project management
  • Experience managing projects within a structured organisation
  • Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering projects to agreed deadlines

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to coordinate project activities, timelines, resources and deliverables effectively
  • Ability to monitor project progress, identify risks and resolve issues promptly
  • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation, reports and status updates
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders and suppliers

Eligibility and Working Arrangements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to work both at Mandela House, Cambridge and remotely as required

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience delivering digital transformation projects
  • Experience working within local government or the public sector
  • Relevant project management qualification or professional certification
  • Experience working with public-sector policies and compliance requirements

Additional Information:

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete the client’s standard pre-engagement compliance checks
  • CV submission and interview are required as part of the selection process
  • Employment references covering the previous two years will be required
  • Eligibility to work in the UK must be verified before engagement
  • Relevant qualifications, licences or professional registrations must be verified where legally required
  • The successful candidate will be required to comply with Cambridge City Council’s agency worker policies, confidentiality requirements and contractual terms, * Do you have experience managing projects within a structured organisation, such as local government, the public sector, or a large corporate environment?
