GCP Architect

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Architect with a strong background in telecommunications (OSS/BSS) to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead complex cloud transformation initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture Design & Planning: Design highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures for OSS systems (e.g., network inventory, fault & performance management, service assurance) using GCP services such as GKE, Compute Engine, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.Cloud Migration Strategy: Lead migration of legacy/on-prem OSS applications to GCP with minimal downtime and data loss.Security & Compliance: Implement robust security practices, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation, aligned with telecom standards.Performance & Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficiency using Cloud Monitoring and Logging tools.Integration & Automation: Enable seamless integration across OSS/BSS and third-party systems; drive automation using Terraform and IaC best practices.Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions; provide GCP best practice guidance.Disaster Recovery: Design and implement DR and business continuity strategies with multi-region deployments.Innovation: Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, serverless) to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & ExperienceDeep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Compute Engine, BigQuery, VPC, IAM, Load Balancing).Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC).Proficiency in Docker & Kubernetes.Programming/scripting skills (Python, Java, or similar).Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and data management.Proven experience designing and implementing GCP solutions.Extensive exposure to telecom technologies (RAN, Core, IP Transport).Experience working in OSS/BSS environments and telecom operational processes (fault & performance management).
