Project Manager (IT Change & Transformation)

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic IT change, business transformation, and digital projects within a large organisation based in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Project Manager, IT Project Manager, Change Manager, or Transformation Project Manager with experience delivering complex projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering strategic change initiatives that drive operational improvement and customer benefits. You will oversee project lifecycles from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, programme teams, and business leaders, you will coordinate multiple workstreams, manage risks, and ensure effective governance throughout the project delivery process., * Lead the delivery of strategic IT and business change projects.

• Manage projects using both Agile SCRUM and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate project teams and multiple workstreams to achieve successful outcomes.
• Implement effective project controls, governance, and reporting processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and communications at all levels.
• Support organisational digital transformation, operational change, and system implementation projects.
• Monitor project performance and ensure delivery of measurable business and customer benefits.
• Produce regular project status reports and updates for senior leadership teams.
• Utilise project management tools to track progress, automate reporting, and support collaboration.

Do you have experience in Waterfall?, To be successful in this Project Manager role, you will have:

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PMQ, or equivalent Project Management qualification.
• Significant experience delivering projects within IT change, business transformation, or digital transformation environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall project management frameworks.
• Proven experience in project planning, resource management, and project delivery.
• Expertise in risk management, project governance, and project controls.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving engagement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
• Strong focus on customer outcomes and continuous improvement., * delivering projects within IT or similar: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or equivalent (required)
