Job description
This opening is for a full-time W-2 employee. It is not a 1099 consulting engagement, subcontracting opportunity, staffing-vendor opportunity, or request for business-development services.
This is a remote position requiring full-time availability during customer-aligned Eastern Time zone business hours. Customer-site attendance may be required based on engagement needs.
What You’ll Do
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Create data architecture, system-context, and integration diagrams.
- Develop source-to-target mappings and transformation rules for healthcare data.
- Create data dictionaries, metadata, and data-lineage documentation.
- Support migration of provider, claims, eligibility, and operational data.
- Apply X12 and NCPDP standards to applicable data and integration requirements.
- Identify and resolve data-quality and data-integrity issues.
- Translate business and technical requirements into data specifications.

Requirements
- 4+ years designing logical and physical data models.
- 3+ years applying healthcare transaction standards, including X12 and/or NCPDP.
- 3+ years supporting federal IT contracts or programs.
- 3+ years supporting data migration and integration projects.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise modernization or systems initiatives.
- Experience with source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, metadata, data dictionaries, or data lineage.
- Strong technical documentation and requirements-analysis skills.
- Ability to work customer-aligned Eastern Time business hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics and Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Veterans Affairs systems, processes, or data.
- Experience modernizing legacy healthcare-data environments.
- Experience with data reconciliation, reporting, dashboards, UAT, or end-to-end integration testing.
- Experience supporting modernization or automation initiatives., * Bachelor’s (Required), * designing logical and physical data models: 4 years (Required)
- X12 and/or NCPD healthcare transactions: 3 years (Required)
