Job description

  • Facilitate discussions with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and refine requirements.
  • Document current and future workflows, business rules, information models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other delivery artifacts.
  • Serve as a liaison between VA stakeholders and technical teams during solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Analyze how clinical information is captured, standardized, exchanged, and used across systems.· Support user acceptance testing by developing scenarios, coordinating stakeholder review, documenting findings, and tracking resolution.· Contribute to the refinement of Agile epics and features, Program Increment planning, and the identification of dependencies and delivery risks.
  • Help define and collect measures that show whether delivered features achieved their intended value.
  • Support work in one or more areas such as Oracle Health or CPRS/VistA configuration, EHR sustainment, clinical workflow improvement, clinical decision support, terminology, or interoperability.

Requirements

  • Experience with systems used to capture or standardize health information or clinical information.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships, work independently, and communicate effectively with clinical and technical audiences.
  • 8+ years of experience in health IT Informatics
  • 6+ years or specialized experience, which may include experience with requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, and artifact development / documentation of systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or other data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences.
  • Experience supporting federal programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be U.S. citizen and eligible for VA clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in informatics, health care administration, public health, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience configuring or supporting Oracle Health and/or VA CPRS/VistA.
  • Experience supporting VA or another large, complex healthcare organization.
  • Experience with clinical workflow analysis, EHR optimization, patient safety, clinical decision support, or health information exchange.
  • Familiarity with HL7/FHIR, clinical terminology, and interoperability workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe teams, including backlog refinement and Program Increment planning.
  • Experience leading analyst work and reviewing requirements and testing artifacts for quality.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint., * This position works with government contracts. Under Order 11935, either U.S. Citizenship or valid permanent residency is required. Answer 2 if you are a US citizen, 1 if you have a permanent resident card.

InnoVet is looking to hire a Health IT Informatics Analyst II to support VA’s Office of Clinical Informatics (OCI) on the Operational Informatics Pipeline contract. This individual will be responsible for providing stakeholder management, requirements gathering, information modeling, process documentation, and liaison tasks required to support the development of clinical informatics software or other clinical informatics project activities. They will work independently or under general direction, as well as in a client-facing manner for requirements capture.
