Web Developer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Web Developer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving websites and web applications for both internal projects and client-facing solutions., * Develop, maintain, and optimise websites and web applications.

• Build responsive, mobile-friendly user interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance problems.
• Work with designers and project stakeholders to implement website requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and software solutions where required.
• Ensure websites are secure, scalable, and perform efficiently.
• Perform regular testing and quality assurance checks.
• Manage website updates, content changes, and maintenance tasks.
• Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and industry best practices.

Do you have experience in Web development?, This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and PHP.
• Experience working with WordPress and custom themes/plugins.
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
• Experience with MySQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Desirable

• Experience with Laravel, React, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Experience with website hosting environments and server management.
• Understanding of website security and performance optimisation.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce.

Essential Requirements

• GCSE or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent English.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Colchester CO1 1JJ.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
