Dispensary Technician

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Dispensary Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, providing a safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing service to our patients.

The successful candidate must be confident working independently within a dispensary setting and committed to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Managing repeat prescriptions and supporting prescription workflows
• Maintaining accurate records using clinical systems, EMIS
• Ordering, receiving, and managing dispensary stock
• Ensuring correct storage and stock rotation of medicines
• Supporting audits and maintaining dispensary standards
• Providing excellent customer service to patients
• Working closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff

• Computer literacy
• Formal qualification at NVQ2 or NVQ3 level
• Experience of working in a General Practice dispensary or retail pharmacy
• Good standard of general education

Desirable

• Experience of using EMIS web
