Job description
This is a varied, people-focused role combining direct learner support with high-quality administration. You will be a key point of contact for learners, referral partners and other stakeholders, dealing with queries face to face, by telephone and by email.
You will support learners through enrolment and onboarding, answer questions, help resolve issues and support their engagement and progression.
Alongside this, you will maintain accurate learner databases and records, input information accurately and promptly, and help ensure Inside Connections maintains high standards of quality and funding compliance.
We are looking for someone who is excellent with people, highly organised and efficient with administration.
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as a first point of contact for learners, referral partners and other stakeholders.
- Responding to queries face to face, by telephone and by email, providing clear information, guidance and support.
- Supporting learners from enrolment and onboarding through to programme completion and progression.
- Helping learners understand programme requirements and next steps.
- Encouraging engagement, attendance and progression.
- Managing enrolment and registration processes.
- Checking eligibility and ensuring required learner documentation is complete.
- Maintaining accurate learner databases and records.
- Inputting enrolment, attendance, progress, achievement and outcome information accurately and promptly.
- Checking information for accuracy and resolving missing or incorrect data.
- Supporting funding compliance, quality checks and reporting.
- Working closely with tutors, managers, referral partners and other colleagues.
- Helping us provide a welcoming, inclusive and positive learner experience.
Requirements
You may already work in learner support, student services, employability, education, training, apprenticeships or another people-facing administrative role.
We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence dealing with learners and stakeholders in person and on the phone.
- A supportive and professional approach to working with learners.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence maintaining databases and inputting information accurately.
- The ability to prioritise work and meet
- A proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high-quality learner support.
Experience of learner enrolment, MIS systems or funded education and training would be useful, but detailed funding knowledge is not essential. We are interested in people who have the right combination of learner focus, organisation, accuracy and willingness to learn.
Benefits & conditions
Salary: From £26,000 per year, depending on experience
Benefits: 36 days’ holiday including bank holidays, Cycle to Work Scheme, on-site parking
