IT NETWORK PROFESSIONAL

Key Responsibilities * Install, configure and maintain network infrastructure supporting Pack & Send offices, branches and operational sites. * Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and other network equipment. * Maintain reliable LAN and WAN connectivity between operational locations and central IT systems. * Troubleshoot network connectivity issues affecting shipping, order-processing, customer-service and operational systems. * Configure and maintain TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS and VPN services. * Support secure connectivity between Pack & Send locations and third-party logistics and technology providers. * Monitor network performance and investigate network outages, latency and connectivity problems. * Provide technical support for computers, printers, barcode scanners, shipping equipment and other network-connected devices. * Assist with the deployment and configuration of IT equipment at new or existing Pack & Send locations. * Support integration and connectivity requirements for courier, freight, shipping and e-commerce systems. * Maintain network documentation, equipment inventories, network diagrams and configuration records. * Investigate and resolve network-related incidents and escalate complex issues where appropriate. * Assist with network security, access controls and implementation of IT security procedures. * Work with external IT providers, telecommunications companies and technology suppliers when required. * Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, network migrations and technology improvement projects. * Ensure IT infrastructure is maintained in accordance with company policies and security requirements. Required Skills and Experience * Professional experience in IT networking or telecommunications. * Practical knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure and TCP/IP networking. * Experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches and routers. * Understanding of VLANs, DHCP, DNS and VPNs. * Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure faults. * Ability to diagnose hardware, software and communication problems. * Good understanding of network security principles. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users. * Ability to work independently and manage technical issues across multiple locations. Desirable Experience * Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking equipment. * CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge. * Experience with fibre-optic and structured network cabling. * Experience working with data-centre or server-room infrastructure. * Experience supporting network-connected barcode scanners, printers and other operational equipment. * Experience working with cloud-based business applications and

Microsoft 365. * Experience supporting logistics, e-commerce, retail or multi-site business environments. Qualifications A degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications or a related technical discipline is desirable. Relevant professional experience and industry certifications may also be considered. Working Environment The position will involve working with both office-based and operational technology. Occasional travel to Pack & Send locations or customer/operational sites may be required to install, maintain or troubleshoot network and IT equipment.
