CDL Driver/ Owner Operator LOCAL & SHORT - HAUL **** NO SAP PROGRAM

QFS TRANSPORTATION is hiring CDL-A Owner Operators in the SAVANNAH market for consistent regional container freight.

Our primary focus is regional port container work, with runs up to approximately 550 miles one way. We also have local opportunities and short haul. A schedule that gets you home during the week and on weekends, we want to talk to you.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across local and short-haul routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
• Execute route driving efficiently while maintaining timely deliveries within designated areas
• Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, load manifests, and inspection reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delivery status, and any issues encountered during shifts
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly to keep trucks in optimal condition

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and at least one year of commercial driving experience
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance
• Ability to perform detailed inspections and maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT regulations
• Excellent route planning skills and familiarity with local roadways for efficient deliveries
