Data Center Facilities Building Engineer

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. seeks a Building Engineer to support data center facilities within a high-performance real estate portfolio. You will operate and maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and fire/life safety, to ensure 24/7 reliability. Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and documentation in a CMMS. You’ll help drive energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability while collaborating with property management, clients, and vendors in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture., * Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems supporting data center uptime

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, generators, UPS, and fire/life safety systems
• Respond to building and critical systems alarms, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate escalations and vendor support
• Support change control, incident reporting, and documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Assist with energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability initiatives across the data center portfolio
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and JLL engineering policies
• Collaborate with property management, vendors, and clients to plan work with minimal business disruption
• Maintain accurate asset inventories, logs, and CMMS records for all building systems
