Chief Building Engineer - Critical Systems

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) is seeking a Chief Engineer, Critical Systems to lead reliable, safe operations of commercial building infrastructure. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, backup power, and building automation systems; direct preventive and corrective maintenance; and respond to emergencies. You will guide engineering staff and contractors, monitor performance, maintain procedures and compliance records, and recommend improvements that strengthen uptime, efficiency, and sustainability. Partner with property teams and clients to plan work and communicate service impacts. • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs and respond to system failures and emergencies.
• Manage and guide engineering staff and service contractors, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.
• Monitor system performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements that support uptime, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Maintain operating procedures, inspection records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with property teams and clients to plan repairs, communicate service impacts, and deliver dependable building operations.
