GIS Mapping Student

About the Role: Join our team and put your skills in GIS, mapping, and data analysis to work! This position uses ESRI, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Excel to create accurate maps, drawings, and tables that support utility operations and field projects.

You’ll assist with utility records research, data validation, analysis, and problem resolution, as well as prepare work site drawings and special sketches. You’ll also collect utility GPS data and help ensure records and mapping information are accurate and up to date.

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working with technology and data. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, learning new things, and taking on a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment., Sedentary work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above., * Must have and maintain a full-time student status at an accredited college or university pursuing an associates, Bachelor’s, or graduate-level degree or related certification

• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:00am and 5:00pm
• Must possess skills in MS Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in GIS, Geography, or related field
• Experience using ESRI Geographical Information Systems and/or AutoCAD
