Job description

Working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.Conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).Testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniqes.Working hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).Using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).Collaborate with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.Produce clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.Identify common accessibility issues and to advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.

Requirements

3+ years industry experience working in accessibility testing roles.Demonstrated success working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.Experience conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally)Experience testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.Hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).Proficient in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).Strong understanding of ARIA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.Collaborated with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.Partnered with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.Produced clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.Ability to identify common accessibility issues and to advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.Understands the impact of accessibility decisions on business performance and efficiency.Strong grasp of user-centred design principles and their application to accessibility.In-depth knowledge of accessibility testing and quality assurance processes.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to guide teams in resolving accessibility challenges.
