Job description

  • Tier 2 Support: Diagnose and resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues from Level 1 support with minimal downtime.
  • Cabling & Infrastructure: Perform structured network cabling (Cat6/fiber), punch-down blocks, patch panel management, and rack/stack equipment installation in telecom closets and server rooms.
  • Physical Access Management: Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain physical security systems, including electronic badge readers, biometric scanners, door controllers, and security camera feeds.
  • System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies via Active Directory or Azure AD.
  • Asset & Documentation: Maintain accurate inventory records of IT hardware and document wiring diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external telecom, security, and hardware vendors for on-site repairs or new installations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in an IT support or desktop administration role, with proven hands-on cabling and infrastructure experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, Windows/macOS administration, and Microsoft 365.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to physically lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces for cabling tasks.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear communication for user-facing support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ticketing Systems: Experience with platforms like SuperOps, Connectwise, etc., * Driver’s License (Required)
