Lab Support Technician II - Lab Support Services

into EPIC. This positions schedule could change due to staffing issues with a two weeks notice. This position will perform other duties as assigned., * Assure that all tasks are completed for shift.

• Assign tasks as needed.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Address all patient/specimen problems as needed.
• Consult with the Laboratory Supervisor or Pathologist for guidance when handling problem situations. Fill out all Safety Intelligence reports and deliver to the Core Lab Manager.
• Communicate all pertinent information to the oncoming senior tech and Supervisor.
• Assist with training new LSTs including signing off on competencies.
• This position is required to work a fluid schedule when needed.

• High School Diploma/GED or formal education equivalent.
• 2 years of lab experience.
• Ability to follow oral instruction, read and write.
• Computer/basic keyboard skills.
• Telephone etiquette skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills., * 2+ years of clinical lab experience
